Water levels at Lake Tyers

We enjoyed a lovely dinner at the Goulburn brewery with Anna and Andrew and were pleased that we followed Andrew’s recommendation to order the steak.  After a good night’s sleep in their massive guest suite, we headed off to Lake Tyers.

We stopped at the General store in Michelago for a reasonable coffee and then had a nice slice of egg and bacon pie at the refurbished pub in Nimmitabel.

After checking into our Airbnb in Lake Tyers, we had time for a walk out to the beach and along the foreshore.  The levels of the lake were much lower than the last time we visited just over a year ago.  This time we could see a big island in the centre of the lake and there was no water lapping the path. The walk was enough to build up a thirst and we dropped into the Waterwheel tavern for a quick beer, which turned into dinner once we spied a very nice king dory dish on the specials menu.
