We left the homestay around 8.15 to cycle into town for the Hoi An free tour, where students act as your tour guides and you help them with their English.
Our tour guides were Suri, Hoquang (Jung) and Chris, and they were all very enthusiastic and keen to practice their English. Suri was the official tour guide, whilst Chris and Jung were trainees. There were many, many tourists doing the free tour and each group had at least two guides. It was just the four of us and the three guides.
We cycled down to the ferry and loaded our bikes on board. Around 15 minutes later we had crossed the river and unloaded out bikes at Kim Bong village on Kam Kim Island, which is renowned for its woodwork.
