Victor Harbour

Enjoying the sights of Victor Harbor and surrounds

After a leisurely start, we walked with Marg to the Planted Coffee House where Paul joined us for a coffee. We then wandered into town with Marg acting as tour guide, meeting Paul again at the tramway out to Granite Island. We decided not to take the tram and it was very windy as we walked across to the Island. Simon and I continued on the Kaiki Walk around the island whilst Paul and Marg walked out to the café which was being refurbished and due to open the following weekend after being closed for months. It was a stunning walk with views across to Port Eliot and to the Bluff.

We stayed on to explore the town, enjoying a nice lunch at Joogeezz before heading back home and a nana nap before dinner.

The next day was raining and Paul took us on a driving tour, with Marg pointing out places of interest including the lake where they train for dragon boating. We drove out through Yankallilla to Normanville, stopping for lunch at One Little Sister.

We returned via the Myponga Reservoir lookout and a short walk out to the Hindmarsh Falls. Once home, we spent time repacking before heading out to Goolwa for a lovely thai dinner at Thai Days.
