I had been struggling with my new bike seat, so we detoured to Living Edge Cycles to buy a gel seat cover that would hopefully make riding a little more comfortable.
After retracing our route along the bike path, we stopped at Taste of Capri café for the most expensive coffee of the trip so far. We took the Echuca road out of Maroopna before turning onto Alexander Road which was the last of the sealed road we would see for the rest of the day.
Since Seymour we had been largely following the Yellowbelly trail which to date had been a series of quiet, sealed back roads. We had deliberately avoided the trail from Toolamba to Shepparton as we had done this previously and had struggled with three steep gullies that would have been impossible with fully laden bikes.
Soon the Yellowbelly trail entered the Lower Goulburn National Park and we meandered along a reasonable track through gum trees, appreciating the firm surface as it would have been challenging following rain. We followed a mix of forest trails and gravel roads before reaching the Goulburn River where we found a nice spot for lunch.
It was just over 10 kilometres to our Airbnb, which was a farm stay north of Undera. Whilst not as luxurious as our previous night, we were delighted with the location, being the only accommodation we could find between Shepparton and Echuca.
